Toasted wraps
We eat these often in our house as they're so quick and easy to make and so many combinations can be used. At the moment, my favourite is melted cheese, torn ham and capers.

It's as easy as this: spread a little butter on the underside of a tortilla wrap and place in the pan. Add your ingredients - cheese, chicken, tomatoes etc. Place your other wrap on top and let it heat up. When the bottom wrap is browned, flip over and let it cook the same on the other side. Simple.

Favourite things
Happy weekend! Another week has flown by (is it really February next week?!) What have you got planned for the next couple of days? A few of my favourite things this week; first, organising my files. I collect quite a few magazines, and when I see an image or idea I want to keep for the future I cut it out and store in a file.
Have a lovely weekend x
(The pretty make up bag given to me by my Mum)
(The gorgeous chicken roast dinner we ate last Sunday. So good.)

Kitchen storage: Glass jars
Being organised in the kitchen (and the rest of the home) is, for me, all about storage. Knowing where everything is kept and being able to access items easily and quickly makes cooking and preparing meals so much easier. These glass jars keep our ingredients and spices fresh and easily viewable (husband is a very keen cook, hence all the different spices!)
(Pretty, unusual shaped jar for peppercorns)
(Dried red chillies look appealing in see through glass jars)
(Spices are easy to identify through clear lids)
To identify the foods we use a mixture of cutting out the packaging and placing inside the jar (see the jar of Polenta in the top photo), or painting a little rectangle of black chalkboard paint and writing on whatever's being kept in there at the time.

Gold jewellery
Gold jewellery really appeals to me at the moment - it seems to suit every outfit. These beautiful rings are so simple and delicate; perfect.

Pink sprinkled doughnuts
I just couldn't resist these pretty looking doughnuts yesterday. I try to make sure we eat as healthily as possible but sometimes a treat is definitely in order!
Hopefully this weekend it'll stop raining long enough for us to venture out - what are your plans?
Enjoy your weekend x

Baked Camembert
Last Friday (our date night), I prepared baked Camembert for us as a little starter. I've been wanting to try this for AGES, so it felt good to finally get around to doing it! It tasted yummy, and it was so simple to do.
All I had to do was to cut the rind from the top, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then pop in the oven on a baking sheet at about 200c. After 10 - 15 minutes it was ready - browned on top and melted inside. We ate this with little cheddar biscuits and crusty bread; gorgeous!

Relaxed home
This home in the French countryside looks so cosy and inviting. I love the mix of pretty pale colours and different textures.

Candles
Lighting candles is one of my favourite things. I love the soft, warm glow it brings to a room. My Mum gave me these pretty white and grey tealights, which look pretty lit or not.
Diptyque have brought out this candle, to celebrate 34 boulevard saint germain in Paris, where Diptyque began. It smells of charcoal, paper, amber, and old wood. So pretty.

Marshmallows
Apparently marshmallows are the next big thing in the world of sweet treats. In New York, at the Three Tarts Bakery, they make different flavoured marshmallows, such as cinnamon and strawberry basil (I would love to try these!).
This recipe makes chocolate covered beer marshmallows, which look delicious. Yum!

Simple
Sometimes simple is best; last night, I made the boys pasta with parmesan grated over the top, and they loved it! (It probably helped that I'd served train shaped pasta!) So easy and quick to prepare. Do you have any favourite midweek go-to recipes?
