Dream breakfast in bed

Speaking of trays, I got thinking about using them to serve breakfast in bed, and what my ideal long, lazy breakfast would involve :) First, a cappuccino (love the heart!) Next on my list would be pastries and chocolate, a pile of magazines, and a huge, cosy throw to cuddle up with. What would your ideal breakfast be?

Trays

Yesterday evening I went to my friend's house and took cookies to share, so she brought out a tray like these ones above to put our drinks and the cookies on. How sweet are they?! I'd never really thought about having a tray before, but now I can see how useful they would be - and my friend says she also uses hers to put her laptop on when she's using it :)

Cosy rugs

When we bought the rug for our living room it instantly made the room cosier, warmer, and much more welcoming. As we get into Winter I'm thinking a few chunky knitted throws will be called for too :) At the moment I'm drawn to rugs with a graphic feel to them, like these above that are still neutral and would suit any decorating scheme.

Prints for children

I recently purchased a few large frames for Jamie and Alfie's room, so we could hang some prints up for them. These are the images inspiring me at the moment (there's more on my Little Ones board on Pinterest :)

Home inspiration: navy blue

Recently I've been drawn to darker colours such as blues and blacks in the home - these examples are gorgeous. I love that cosiness that it adds to the rooms, and it seems so classic.

Wooden dipped bowls

Aren't these mini bowls adorable? They would look beautiful filled with little appetisers at a party. I would choose the white and grey, but they're all so sweet!

Toast

I received the House & Home catalogue from Toast last week and it's so lovely to browse through. I think I'd take everything if I could! These pretty candles are sweet - they'd be perfect as a gift.

Baskets

I recently purchased this large woven basket to hold our ironing in the utility room, and I love it. (It holds a lot of clothes too which helps when I leave the ironing for a little too long!) I think these would also be great in the boys' bedroom for storing toys (there are some lovely ideas here too) I've also ordered this pretty one - I'll be taking it on holiday to use for the beach, then when we're back home we can use it to store things in. Now all I need to do is to get the boys to remember to put their things away!
